Sports Facilities Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Sports Facilities Supervisor to manage the operational aspects of their sports facilities in Oxford . This role requires hands-on leadership to ensure the sports grounds, courts, and indoor facilities are maintained to the highest standards and are ready for use by athletes, clubs, and the public. You will oversee a team of groundskeepers and maintenance staff, manage equipment, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations. This is a crucial role for maintaining the quality and functionality of key sports infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the work of groundskeepers and maintenance staff to ensure high-quality upkeep of sports facilities.
• Develop and implement schedules for grounds maintenance, cleaning, and facility repairs.
• Manage inventory of sports equipment, maintenance supplies, and tools, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address any safety hazards or maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance or repair work as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in sports facility management or groundskeeping supervision.
• Strong knowledge of turf management, sports field maintenance, and facility upkeep.
• Experience leading and motivating a team.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to sports facilities.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and manage physical tasks as needed in Oxford .
