We are looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join the engineering team at a large, established site in Tooting.
This is a static position offering an excellent salary of £50,000, with no requirement to travel between multiple sites. You will take responsibility for the planned and reactive maintenance of air conditioning systems across the estate, ensuring equipment is maintained to a high standard and technical issues are resolved efficiently.
The role would suit an experienced AC Engineer looking for a stable Monday-to-Friday position where they can become an integral part of the on-site engineering team.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across air conditioning assets
- Attend reactive maintenance and breakdowns
- Diagnose faults and provide effective technical solutions
- Carry out repairs and remedial works on AC equipment
- Monitor plant condition and identify potential issues before failures occur
- Source and organise parts required for maintenance and repairs
- Complete engineer reports and maintenance documentation
- Carry out risk assessments for maintenance activities
- Work in accordance with site Permit to Work procedures
- Liaise directly with the client and provide regular updates on ongoing works
- Escort and oversee specialist subcontractors when required
- Work alongside the wider engineering team to maintain the site to a high standard
- Ensure all work complies with current Health & Safety requirements
- City & Guilds Refrigeration & Air Conditioning qualification or equivalent
- Strong experience maintaining air conditioning systems
- Good knowledge of mechanical building services
- Previous experience within a commercial building maintenance environment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Confident working xwwtmva independently as well as part of an engineering team
- Good communication skills with a professional, client-facing approach
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and risk assessment procedures
- Flexible, reliable and proactive attitude
