About the role:
We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Steward to join our team and support the delivery of a high-quality dining service.
You will play an important role in ensuring meals and functions run smoothly, while maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene, presentation and customer service.
What you’ll do:
- Provide a high standard of food and beverage service within the dining room.
- Prepare and maintain dining areas before, during and after meal service.
- Set tables and ensure the dining environment remains clean, tidy and welcoming.
- Clear tables efficiently, removing used crockery and debris promptly.
- Replenish condiments, bread rolls, tea, coffee and other refreshments throughout service.
- Assist with functions, events and refreshment services when required.
- Support the Head Steward with function preparation.
- Assist with basic food preparation, such as preparing condiments.
- Check crockery, cutlery and other service equipment are clean and ready for use.
- Assist with plate washing and general cleaning duties.
- Follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH requirements.
- Ensure cleaning materials, chemicals, machinery and equipment are used and stored safely.
- Report any equipment defects or concerns to your line manager promptly.
- Maintain company quality and service standards.
- Support colleagues with additional duties as required.

- Willing to assist with a variety of duties and functions.
- A good communicator who can follow instructions from the Head Steward or Manager.
