Stick Welder / Mechanical Fitter Elite Site Services Ltd £23.00 per hour | Regular Overtime | £70,000+ Earning Potential | Company Vehicle Elite Site Services Ltd is looking for an experienced Stick Welder / Mechanical Fitter to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. We specialise in the installation, maintenance, repair and refurbishment of industrial conveyors and balers, predominantly within the waste, recycling and industrial sectors. This is a UK-wide site-based position with regular working away and excellent earning potential. Pay & Benefits

The Role

You will travel to customer sites throughout the UK carrying out welding, mechanical fitting, maintenance and installation work. Typical duties include:

• Stick/MMA welding
• Mechanical fitting
• Conveyor installation, repair and maintenance
• Conveyor chain replacement
• Replacement of bearings, shafts, sprockets and rollers
• Baler repairs and refurbishment
• On-site fabrication and modifications
• Planned preventative maintenance
• Breakdown repairs
• Installation and removal of industrial machinery What We’re Looking For We’re looking for an experienced engineer who is a competent Stick/MMA welder and mechanical fitter. Previous experience with conveyors, balers, recycling equipment or heavy industrial machinery would be an advantage. Applicants must:
• Be competent in Stick/MMA welding
• Have mechanical fitting experience
• Be willing to travel and work away throughout the UK
• Be willing to work regular overtime
• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Be reliable and punctual
• Be capable of working independently and as part of a team
• Have a good attitude towards health and safety CCNSG / Site Safety A valid CCNSG Safety Passport or suitable equivalent is required for site work. If you don’t currently hold one, this can be arranged/booked for the right candidate prior to attending sites. Other relevant site safety qualifications will also be considered, subject to individual site requirements. Hours & Earnings The basic rate is £23.00 per hour, with a significant amount of regular overtime available. Our engineers currently average approximately 20 hours of overtime per week, giving the potential to earn £70,000+ per year, depending on the hours worked. Due to the amount of overtime available, working hours will be managed in accordance with applicable working-time requirements.
