About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and organised Stock Controller to oversee inventory management at their Bristol store. This vital role ensures accurate stock levels, efficient stock movement, and minimisation of stock loss, directly impacting the store's profitability and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of inventory data, managing stocktakes, and liaising with suppliers and the sales team to ensure product availability. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mind and a commitment to maintaining precise stock records in a busy retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using stock management software.
• Conduct regular stocktakes and cycle counts, investigating discrepancies.
• Oversee the receiving, processing, and dispatch of goods.
• Implement and monitor stock control procedures to minimise shrinkage and waste.
• Collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Ensure back-of-house storage areas are organised and safe.

Requirements

• Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, or a related logistics role.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and POS systems.
• Strong analytical skills and a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in Bristol .
