Stockroom Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for an organised and efficient Stockroom Supervisor to manage inventory operations at their store in Stoke-on-Trent . You will be responsible for overseeing the receiving, storing, and dispatching of goods, ensuring accuracy and maintaining a well-ordered stockroom environment. This critical role supports the smooth running of the sales floor by ensuring products are available when needed. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, essential for managing stock effectively within the busy Stoke-on-Trent retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of the stockroom, including receiving, unpacking, and organizing incoming stock.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks to identify discrepancies.
• Ensure the stockroom is kept clean, tidy, and safe, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Coordinate with the sales floor team to ensure timely replenishment of merchandise.
• Manage the dispatch of goods for online orders or inter-store transfers as required.
• Implement and enforce stock control procedures to minimize shrinkage and waste.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or inventory management role, preferably in retail .
• Experience in a supervisory or team lead position is highly desirable.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with inventory management systems or software.
• Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
