Stores Person

Overview

A large research organisation in South Oxfordshire is looking for an experienced stores person to support its busy goods‑in and logistics function. This role is based at a storage facility near Didcot and will include deliveries to a site near Harwell.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, record, and allocate incoming goods.
• Maintain accurate stock records and perform general warehouse duties.
• Prepare and dispatch items to the off‑site facility and the Harwell site.
• Use initiative and problem‑solving skills to handle varied tasks independently.

Qualifications

• Previous goods‑in, stock control and general warehousing experience.
• Good understanding of goods receipt and dispatch administration.
• Valid driving licence, with experience driving a 7.5‑ton vehicle preferred.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Other Details

• Contract: 6‑month initial period, extendable up to 3 years.
• Immediate start required.
