Strategic Finance Business Partner - Cambridgeshire

Were looking for two experienced Strategic Finance Business Partners to join our Finance & IT team and play a key role in shaping financial decision-making across the Combined Authority.

As a Strategic Finance Business Partner, youll work directly with Directors and Executive Directors, providing high-quality financial advice, insight and constructive challenge to help deliver our Directorate Business Plans.

One role will be focussed on supporting the Transport and Corporate Services Directorates which cover the Mayors Office, Policy development, Bus Franchising and Strategic Transport.

The second role will be supporting the Place and Economy Directorate which includes Adult Skills, Business Growth, Planning and Spatial Strategy.

Youll be much more than a finance specialist. Youll build strong relationships with senior leaders, understand the wider business, identify financial risks and opportunities, and turn complex financial information into clear advice that supports better decisions.

About you

Youll be a CCAB qualified accountant with significant experience in financial planning, control and reporting.

Youll bring:

• Extensive experience working in a complex and political environment.
• Strong experience presenting complex financial information to senior and non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience supporting significant service contracts, including contracts over 10m per annum.

Experience of Unit4 ERP, Local Government, the wider public sector or capital projects would be an advantage.
