Strategic Sourcing Manager - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Manager to join their procurement team on a fully remote basis, serving their operations across the UK, including Belfast . This role will drive strategic sourcing initiatives, focusing on identifying and engaging with new suppliers, optimising sourcing strategies, and delivering significant cost savings and value. You will leverage your expertise in category management and supplier relationship management to enhance the company's supply chain. This is a key role for an experienced sourcing professional who thrives in a remote setting and is passionate about achieving best-in-class procurement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for key spend categories.
• Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify sourcing opportunities and supplier innovation.
• Lead complex negotiations with major suppliers to achieve optimal pricing, terms, and service levels.
• Manage and develop a portfolio of strategic supplier relationships, ensuring performance and mitigating risks.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and align sourcing strategies accordingly.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the sourcing function to enhance efficiency and value delivery.

Requirements

• Significant experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and complex negotiations.
• Demonstrated success in delivering substantial cost savings and value through sourcing initiatives.
• Strong understanding of global supply markets and supplier relationship management best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; CIPS certification is a plus.
