Strategic Sourcing Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to join their dynamic procurement team in Leeds . This role is vital for developing and executing sourcing strategies that drive value and efficiency across key spend categories. You will be responsible for identifying and engaging with new suppliers, managing complex contracts, and ensuring a high level of performance from the existing supplier base. This hybrid position allows for flexible working arrangements, blending in-office collaboration with the benefits of remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category sourcing strategies to achieve cost reduction, risk mitigation, and service level improvements.
• Lead the end-to-end sourcing process, including market analysis, RFx development, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement.
• Monitor market intelligence and industry trends to identify new sourcing opportunities and potential risks.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and align sourcing strategies accordingly.
• Manage supplier performance and conduct regular business reviews to ensure compliance and optimize value.

Requirements

• Significant experience (5+ years) in strategic sourcing , category management, or a similar procurement role.
• Demonstrated success in leading complex sourcing initiatives and achieving substantial cost savings.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
• Proficiency in procurement tools and methodologies, including e-sourcing platforms.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
