About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to join their dynamic team, operating remotely with potential touchpoints in Edinburgh . This role is central to optimizing the company's supply base and ensuring the procurement of goods and services aligns with strategic business objectives. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and engaging with suppliers globally, developing innovative sourcing strategies, and driving long-term value creation. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies to optimize spend, reduce costs, and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify potential suppliers and competitive landscapes.
• Lead complex sourcing events, including RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations with key global partners.
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders across various departments.
• Manage supplier performance through regular reviews and the implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within sourcing processes and methodologies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement.
• Proven ability to lead complex sourcing projects and deliver significant cost savings and value.
• Strong understanding of global supply chains, market dynamics, and negotiation tactics.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in sourcing software, e-procurement tools, and contract management systems.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field is required.
