About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking organization, is actively seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join their procurement function, operating entirely remotely to support their Leeds -based operations. This role is paramount in driving significant cost savings and enhancing value through expert category management and supplier relationship development. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and engaging with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, superior quality, and innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing projects for key indirect and direct spend categories, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Conduct thorough market analysis, spend analysis, and category reviews to identify opportunities for cost reduction and value enhancement.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies, including RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ), and lead supplier negotiations.
• Manage and develop strategic supplier relationships, ensuring performance meets or exceeds contractual obligations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure sourcing strategies effectively support their goals.
• Monitor market trends and supplier innovations to drive continuous improvement in the supply chain.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement, preferably in a remote setting.
• Demonstrated success in leading complex sourcing projects and achieving significant cost savings.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable sourcing strategies.
• Excellent negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
• Proficiency with e-sourcing tools and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
