About the Role

Our client is looking for an analytical and strategic Sourcing Specialist to contribute to their procurement efforts, based in or near Milton Keynes . This role focuses on identifying and developing new sourcing opportunities, optimizing existing supplier relationships, and driving significant cost savings through strategic procurement initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and emerging sourcing trends.
• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for key categories of spend.
• Lead supplier selection processes, including RFPs, RFQs, and comprehensive evaluations.
• Negotiate complex agreements with global and domestic suppliers to secure optimal terms.
• Manage and foster strategic relationships with critical suppliers to ensure long-term value.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and align sourcing strategies accordingly.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in strategic sourcing , category management, or procurement.
• Proven track record of delivering substantial cost savings through effective sourcing strategies.
• Strong understanding of contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and financial information.
• Experience with e-sourcing tools and procurement platforms is essential.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
