About the Role

Our client seeks a highly analytical and results-driven Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join their procurement team based in Belfast . This role is fundamental to identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives and optimizing the supply base for key operational requirements. You will be responsible for conducting detailed spend analysis, identifying sourcing opportunities, and leading negotiation processes for various categories of goods and services. The successful candidate will play a key part in enhancing the company's competitive edge through effective procurement strategies and strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive spend analysis and market research to identify sourcing opportunities and cost reduction potential.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned categories, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Lead supplier negotiations, contract development, and implementation to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Manage and develop relationships with key suppliers , monitoring their performance and driving continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure procurement delivers maximum value.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a strategic sourcing or procurement role.
• Demonstrated ability in negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Experience with sourcing tools and e-procurement platforms.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
