About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join their expanding procurement team, operating primarily on a remote basis. This role is crucial for identifying, evaluating, and securing the best suppliers and terms for a wide range of goods and services. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth market analysis, leading complex sourcing events, and developing long-term supplier partnerships. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving value, innovation, and risk mitigation within the supply chain, leveraging their expertise to achieve significant cost savings and performance improvements for the company from their remote location.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies for key spend categories.
• Conduct thorough market intelligence and supplier landscape analysis.
• Lead and manage competitive bidding processes, including RFx (RFI, RFP, RFQ).
• Negotiate master supply agreements and service contracts with strategic partners.
• Collaborate with internal business units to define requirements and ensure alignment.
• Implement supplier performance management programs to drive continuous improvement.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through proactive sourcing strategies.

Requirements

• Significant experience (5+ years) in strategic sourcing , category management, or a similar procurement role.
• Demonstrated success in leading complex sourcing projects and achieving substantial cost savings.
• Expertise in negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret market data effectively.
• Proficiency in sourcing software and procurement best practices.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills, essential for a fully remote role.
