VTA Recruitment are currently recruiting Street Cleansing Operatives to join our client, a well-established organisation specialising in street cleansing, environmental and grounds maintenance services across Greater Manchester.

This is a physically demanding outdoor role based in Bredbury, Stockport, so candidates must be physically fit and comfortable with manual work and working outdoors throughout the day.

Hours of Work

• Monday to Friday
• 06:30am - 2:24pm
• 37 hours per week

Rate of Pay

• £12.71 per hour + holiday pay

Job Role and Responsibilities

• Using backpack leaf blowers to clear leaves and debris from footpaths, roadsides, parks, car parks and other public areas.
• Using hand tools such as rakes, brushes and shovels where required
• Carrying out general street cleansing and leaf clearance duties
• Keeping public areas clean, safe and tidy.
• Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Following all health and safety procedures and wearing the required PPE.

Requirements

• Previous experience using backpack leaf blowers is highly desirable
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, gardening or similar outdoor work is advantageous.

PPE, equipment and training will be provided.
