Job Description
We're working with an established structural steel specialist that is looking to strengthen its team with an experienced Structural Detailer .
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-focused Tekla professional to work on a varied portfolio of complex structural steel, bridge and architecturally exposed steelwork projects across a range of sectors.
The Role
You'll be responsible for producing accurate 3D Tekla models, fabrication drawings and construction documentation , working closely with project teams, clients and design teams to deliver technically accurate and practical detailing solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing detailed 3D Tekla models for structural steelwork.
- Preparing fabrication, construction and erection drawings.
- Developing fabrication packages, including material lists and NC data.
- Interpreting structural and architectural drawings and specifications.
- Liaising with clients and design teams to resolve technical queries.
- Managing drawing revisions and project documentation.
- Identifying design changes and supporting commercial awareness.
- Working to project programmes, deadlines and quality standards.
About You
We're looking for someone with:
- Proven experience as a Structural Steel Detailer .
- Strong Tekla Structures experience.
- Good understanding of structural steel fabrication and detailing.
- Ability to interpret engineering and architectural drawings.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of project changes.
Experience with bridge structures, AESS or complex architectural steelwork would be particularly advantageous.
