About the Role

Our client is recruiting a talented Structural Engineer to contribute to their prestigious building design portfolio in Manchester . This is a critical on-site role, offering hands-on experience with a variety of exciting construction projects, from residential complexes to commercial structures. You will be an integral part of a dedicated team, collaborating closely with architects and construction professionals to ensure the structural integrity and safety of buildings. The position demands a strong technical foundation and a commitment to delivering innovative and robust engineering solutions within a collaborative, office-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake structural analysis and design for various building types using advanced software.
• Produce detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations for construction.
• Liaise with architects, contractors, and other consultants to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and address any structural issues that arise.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant British Standards, Eurocodes, and building regulations.
• Contribute to the development of innovative structural solutions and materials research.

Requirements

• BEng/MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in structural engineering design for buildings.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., Tekla Structural Designer, Robot) and AutoCAD.
• In-depth knowledge of Eurocodes and UK Building Regulations.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
