Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for various building types, ensuring compliance with national and international standards.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and technical specifications using industry-standard software.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and provide technical support to contractors.
- Liaise with architects, contractors, and other consultants to resolve design issues and ensure project coordination.
- Undertake structural assessments of existing buildings and propose appropriate strengthening or refurbishment solutions.
- Contribute to the development of innovative structural design solutions that are both economical and sustainable.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering , with a focus on building structures.
- Professional registration (e.g., CEng, MIStructE) or eligibility to obtain it.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000) and CAD packages.
- Strong knowledge of materials science, building codes, and construction techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
