About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Structural Engineer to join their dynamic building design consultancy in Leeds . This role is crucial for designing the structural integrity of a wide range of building projects, from residential developments to commercial complexes. You will be instrumental in ensuring safety, stability, and aesthetic coherence, collaborating with architects and other specialists to bring innovative architectural visions to life. Key Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed structural analysis and design for new build and refurbishment projects using advanced software .
• Produce clear and accurate structural drawings, calculations, and specifications for building construction .
• Collaborate closely with architects, M&E engineers, and contractors to integrate structural solutions seamlessly.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor structural works and resolve any construction-related issues.
• Ensure all designs comply with the latest UK building regulations and structural codes.
• Mentor and guide junior structural engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Requirements

• MSc or MEng in Structural Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in structural building design .
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, STAAD.Pro, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, timber, and masonry design codes.
• Excellent communication and client management skills, crucial for remote collaboration.
