Role
As a Structural Engineer, you will be involved in the design and delivery of a diverse range of building structures from concept through to construction. Working alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary design teams, you will contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
Carry out structural design and analysis for a variety of building projects.
Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentation.
Design structures using steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry.
Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and other members of the design team.
Undertake site inspections and attend project meetings when required.
Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with current regulations, standards, and best practice.
Support the delivery of projects on time and within budget.
Requirements
Essential
Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Previous experience within a UK structural engineering consultancy.
Strong understanding of structural design principles and UK Building Regulations.
Experience working with a range of construction materials.
Proficiency in structural analysis and design software.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
Chartered Engineer status or working towards Chartership (IStructE or ICE).
Experience using Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, MasterSeries, or similar packages.
Experience in refurbishment and retrofit projects.
Full UK driving licence.
