Our client is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Structural Engineer to join their expanding design and engineering consultancy in Sunderland . Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structural systems for new builds and refurbishments across various project types.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings , specifications, and calculations using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and other consultants to integrate structural designs.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Undertake risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies for structural integrity.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on structural matters to internal teams and external clients.
Requirements
- Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural specialization.
- Professional registration (e.g., MIStructE, CEng) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in structural design and analysis of building structures.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, Tekla, or similar.
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and relevant legislation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
