About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to contribute to their innovative projects, with the ability to work remotely from Cardiff or surrounding areas. This role is pivotal in the design and analysis of a diverse range of structures, ensuring their integrity, safety, and efficiency. You will collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to bring complex designs to life, upholding the company's reputation for excellence and innovation in structural solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Undertake structural analysis and design for various building types, including residential, commercial, and industrial structures.
- Produce detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications using industry-standard software.
- Conduct site visits and structural surveys as required, often remotely coordinating with on-site personnel.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and project-specific requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and clients, offering solutions for complex structural issues.
Requirements
- Honours degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a strong structural focus.
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in structural engineering design and project delivery.
- Professional registration with a recognized engineering body (e.g., IStructE, ICE).
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structural Designer, or similar.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, crucial for effective remote collaboration and client interaction in Cardiff .
