About the Role
Our client is seeking a qualified and innovative Structural Engineer to join their esteemed engineering consultancy based in Milton Keynes . This role is pivotal in providing expert structural design and analysis services for a diverse range of construction projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial buildings. You will collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and clients to ensure the structural integrity and safety of designs, applying sound engineering principles and utilizing advanced modeling software. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering robust, efficient, and compliant engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design calculations for various building structures using industry-standard software.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and reports for client and regulatory approval.
- Liaise with architects, contractors, and other consultants to ensure seamless project integration.
- Conduct site visits to inspect progress, verify installations, and resolve any structural issues.
- Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals from contractors.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in structural engineering principles, materials, and software.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent chartered status preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design and analysis within the construction sector .
- Proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structural Designer) and CAD tools.
- Solid understanding of relevant building codes and design standards (e.g., Eurocodes).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical communication skills.
