About the Role

Our client, a reputable engineering consultancy, is looking for a skilled Structural Engineer to join their growing team in Leeds . You will play a vital role in designing and analysing the structural integrity of various construction projects, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with all relevant building regulations and standards. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse and exciting projects, contributing to the built environment with innovative and efficient structural solutions. You will collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other specialists to bring complex designs to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building types, including commercial, residential, and industrial structures.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications using industry-standard software.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other consultants to ensure integrated project design.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and provide technical support.
• Ensure all designs comply with current building regulations, codes of practice, and relevant standards.
• Investigate and report on existing structures, providing recommendations for repair or refurbishment.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years' post-graduate experience in structural engineering design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structural Designer).
• Strong understanding of building codes and standards relevant to the UK.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
