About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and motivated Structural Engineer to join their established construction consultancy in Sheffield . You will be involved in the design, analysis, and project management of structural aspects for a variety of building projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design calculations for building structures.
• Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure designs comply with current building regulations and British Standards.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and address any structural issues.
• Review and approve shop drawings and structural calculations submitted by contractors.

Requirements

• Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural specialization.
• Experience as a Structural Engineer in the design of building structures.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., Robot Structural Analysis, STAAD.Pro).
• Good knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and relevant codes.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with project management principles is a plus.
