About the Role

Our client, a prominent engineering consultancy, is seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team based in or near Belfast . This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide array of innovative construction projects, providing critical structural design and analysis. You will collaborate closely with architects and other engineering disciplines to develop robust, safe, and efficient structural solutions, contributing your expertise to the built environment across Northern Ireland and beyond, with a focus on design excellence and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for various types of building projects using relevant software.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes , standards, and safety regulations.
• Undertake site visits to monitor progress and provide technical support where necessary.
• Contribute to the technical development and mentorship of junior engineers.

Requirements

• Degree in Structural Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Proven experience in structural design and analysis of buildings.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structural Designer) and CAD.
• Thorough understanding of relevant Eurocodes and UK building regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
