About the Role

You will collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other specialists to ensure that all structural designs meet safety standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. Key Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and specify structural systems for new builds and refurbishment projects.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and reports using industry-standard software.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Collaborate effectively with architects, construction teams, and other consultants to resolve design and site issues.
• Undertake structural assessments and provide recommendations for existing buildings.
• Stay abreast of advancements in structural engineering and relevant building codes and standards.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with a strong academic record.
• Professional qualification (e.g., CEng) or working towards it.
• Proven experience in structural design for various building types.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro).
• Thorough understanding of UK building regulations and design codes.
