Structural Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and innovative Structural Engineer to join their growing practice in Brighton . You will be responsible for the design and analysis of structural aspects of various building projects, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems for new builds and refurbishment projects, considering loads, materials, and environmental factors.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations using industry-standard software.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other consultants to ensure integrated and efficient project delivery.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and verify that designs are implemented correctly.
• Provide technical advice and solutions to construction challenges encountered during projects.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant building regulations, codes of practice, and safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status, or working towards it.
• Proven experience in structural design for building projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro).
• In-depth knowledge of building codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
