Structural Engineer

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic multi-disciplinary consultancy in Norwich , is seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join their growing team. This role will involve contributing to the design and analysis of a wide range of building structures, including commercial, residential, and industrial projects across the Norfolk region. You will work collaboratively with architects and other engineering disciplines to deliver innovative and compliant structural solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Undertake structural analysis and design for new build and refurbishment projects using industry-standard software.
• Prepare structural drawings, specifications, and reports for planning and construction.
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and resolve structural issues.
• Ensure designs comply with current British Standards and Building Regulations.
• Provide technical input and support to junior members of the structural engineering team.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in structural engineering design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Robot Structural Analysis).
• Good understanding of building materials and construction techniques.
• Familiarity with UK building codes and relevant standards.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
