About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team in Brighton . You will be responsible for the design, analysis, and supervision of structural elements for a variety of construction projects, ensuring integrity, safety, and compliance with building regulations. This role requires a strong technical foundation, creative problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, and clients. You will play a key role in bringing innovative designs to life, ensuring the structural soundness and safety of buildings and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyse structural components and systems for various building types.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Liaise with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure coordinated designs.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to structural plans.
• Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.

Requirements

• Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
• Proven experience as a Structural Engineer , preferably within a consultancy environment.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS) and CAD.
• Strong understanding of building materials, construction methods, and relevant British Standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
