About the Role

Our client seeks a qualified and innovative Structural Engineer to join their established engineering consultancy in Manchester . You will be responsible for the design and analysis of structural elements for a wide range of construction projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial buildings. This role offers the chance to work on challenging and varied projects, collaborating with architects and other engineering disciplines to deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable structural solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for new build and refurbishment projects.
• Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure design integrity.
• Undertake structural assessments and provide technical advice.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and legislation.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer (MIStructE or MICE) or working towards chartered status.
• Proficient in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structural Designer).
• Experience with various building materials (steel, concrete, masonry, timber).
• Strong understanding of Eurocodes and UK building regulations.
