About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Structural Engineer to join their engineering consultancy in Bristol . This role involves the design and analysis of structural elements for a wide range of building projects, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with building regulations. You will work collaboratively with architects, project managers, and construction teams, providing expert structural advice and solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for building projects using relevant software and codes of practice.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications for construction.
- Liaise with architects, clients, contractors, and other consultants to develop integrated design solutions.
- Undertake site visits to monitor construction progress, inspect structural works, and resolve any site queries.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant building regulations, British Standards, and Eurocodes.
- Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals from contractors.
Requirements
- Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards it (e.g., MICE, MIStructE).
- Proven experience in structural design for various building types.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., Tekla Structural Designer, Revit Structure, SAP2000).
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and relevant legislation.
