About the Role
Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Structural Engineer to join their design team in Brighton . You will be responsible for the structural design and analysis of various building projects, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with all relevant building codes and standards. This role requires a strong technical background, proficiency in structural analysis software, and the ability to collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, and other consultants. You will contribute to the integrity and success of diverse construction projects across East Sussex .
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for building projects using advanced engineering software.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant building regulations, codes, and standards.
- Collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and construction teams throughout the design and construction phases.
- Conduct site visits to monitor structural works and resolve any technical issues that arise.
- Review contractor submissions and proposals for structural components.
Requirements
- Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural specialization.
- Chartered Engineer (MIStructE or MICE) status or working towards it is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in structural design for a variety of building types.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structural Designer, Revit).
- Strong understanding of material properties and construction techniques.
