Structural Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Structural Engineer to join their innovative design and engineering team based in Bradford . You will be responsible for the structural design and analysis of a variety of building projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant building regulations and codes. This role requires a strong technical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with architects, contractors, and other consultants. You will play a key role in shaping the structural integrity and safety of new developments in West Yorkshire .

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for various construction projects using specialized software.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports for structural elements.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant British Standards and building regulations.
• Liaise with architects, contractors, and other engineers to resolve design issues and site queries.
• Conduct site inspections to verify that construction aligns with design specifications.
• Contribute to value engineering exercises to optimize structural designs.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional registration with a relevant body (e.g., IStructE, ICE) or working towards it.
• Proven experience in structural design, preferably within a consultancy environment.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., Tekla Structural Designer , STAAD.Pro) and AutoCAD.
• In-depth knowledge of building materials and construction techniques.
