About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design calculations for buildings and infrastructure projects using industry-standard software.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and reports in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
• Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure design intent is clearly communicated and implemented.
• Conduct site inspections and surveys to assess existing structures and monitor construction progress.
• Provide technical advice and solutions to construction challenges encountered during the project lifecycle.
• Keep abreast of new engineering techniques, materials, and regulatory changes affecting structural design.

Requirements

• Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural specialization.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Robot Structural Analysis, Tekla Structural Designer).
• Thorough understanding of UK building codes, Eurocodes, and relevant British Standards.
• Experience in the design of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting, contributing effectively from Leeds .
