About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join their innovative engineering team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere within the UK. You will be responsible for designing and analyzing structural elements for a variety of construction projects, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This role requires a deep understanding of structural principles, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines through digital platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for buildings and infrastructure projects using industry-standard software.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations for client and regulatory approval.
- Collaborate remotely with project teams, including architects and construction managers, to integrate structural designs seamlessly.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., Eurocodes).
- Conduct site visits and inspections as required, utilizing virtual tools and reporting mechanisms.
- Review contractor submissions and provide technical support during the construction phase.
Requirements
- Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
- Proven experience in structural design and analysis of building structures.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000) and CAD software.
- Excellent understanding of material properties and their application in construction.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
