About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Structural Engineer to join their expanding consultancy in Belfast . This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of challenging construction projects, from initial design concepts through to project completion. You will be responsible for designing and analysing structural elements, ensuring compliance with building regulations and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, and other consultants. Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building types, including residential, commercial, and industrial.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and reports using CAD and other design software.
• Collaborate with architects and other engineers to integrate structural designs into overall project plans.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Ensure all designs comply with current building codes , standards, and health and safety regulations.
• Provide technical support and advice to construction teams and clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Proven experience as a Structural Engineer , with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Robot Structural Analysis) and CAD software.
• In-depth knowledge of steel, concrete, and timber design principles.
• Understanding of relevant UK and European design standards and building regulations .
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
