Structural Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and innovative Structural Engineer to join their multidisciplinary team in Sheffield , offering a hybrid working model. You will be responsible for the design and analysis of structural elements for a wide range of construction projects, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively on-site and remotely. You will contribute to the structural integrity and success of buildings and infrastructure, working closely with architects, project managers, and construction teams to bring designs to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for various construction projects using relevant software.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Ensure designs comply with building regulations, codes, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and address any structural issues.
• Review shop drawings and respond to site queries.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a closely related field.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it (e.g., MICE, MIStructE).
• Proven experience in structural design for building and infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, Tekla Structural Designer).
• Strong understanding of construction materials and methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adaptable to hybrid work.
