About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Structural Engineer to join their established consultancy in Birmingham . This role involves providing expert structural design services for a diverse range of building projects, from residential developments to commercial structures. You will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity and safety of designs, collaborating closely with architects and contractors to bring ambitious architectural visions to life. Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for various building types using industry-standard software.
- Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports for structural elements.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and resolve any structural issues that may arise.
- Ensure designs comply with the latest Building Regulations, Eurocodes, and British Standards.
- Liaise effectively with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Provide technical support and advice throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
- A minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience in structural engineering design.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, Tekla Structural Designer).
- Strong knowledge of concrete, steel, timber, and masonry design principles.
- Familiarity with UK building codes and relevant design standards.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
