About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and innovative Structural Engineer to join their expanding team in Brighton . You will be responsible for the design, analysis, and assessment of structural aspects of various construction projects, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary design team. You will play a key role in developing efficient and cost-effective structural solutions for a diverse range of building types.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyse structural systems for buildings and infrastructure projects using industry-standard software (e.g., Tekla Structural Designer, Revit).
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations for construction.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure designs are implemented correctly.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to achieve project objectives.
- Perform structural assessments and investigations, providing reports and recommendations.
- Ensure all designs comply with current building codes and relevant legislation.
Requirements
- Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in structural design for various construction projects.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software.
- Strong understanding of materials science and construction techniques.
