Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for buildings and infrastructure projects using advanced software.
- Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and reports for construction.
- Ensure designs comply with BS 5950, Eurocodes, and other relevant UK building regulations.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and address any structural issues.
- Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Review project designs and provide expert technical advice on structural matters.
Requirements
- Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in structural engineering design.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Robot Structural Analysis).
- Knowledge of steel, concrete, timber, and masonry design principles.
- Familiarity with current UK building codes and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
