Sub Agent

The Role

As Sub Agent, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of the earthworks package, working closely with the Project Manager, Site Agents, engineers and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating day-to-day site activities across the earthworks package.

• Supporting the Site Agent and Project Manager with the successful delivery of the works.

• Managing subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered to programme and specification.

• Monitoring progress, productivity and quality of works.

• Ensuring all works comply with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.

• Reviewing RAMS, permits and relevant project documentation.

• Liaising with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and the wider project team.

• Assisting with planning, sequencing and coordination of earthworks activities.

• Identifying and resolving technical and operational issues on site.

• Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress to senior management.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Sub Agent on major highways or civil engineering projects.

• Strong experience delivering earthworks packages.

• Proven experience managing subcontractors and site teams.

• Good understanding of construction methodology, programme and sequencing.

• Strong knowledge of health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Relevant civil engineering qualification or equivalent experience.

• CSCS and relevant highways/site certifications.

Package

• £400–£430 per shift, depending on experience.

• 12-month contract.

• Immediate start available.

• Long-term opportunity on a major highways scheme.

• Leicester-based project.
