Subsea Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative Subsea Engineer to join their engineering department in Southampton . This role is critical for the design, fabrication, installation, and operation of subsea production systems. You will play a key part in ensuring the integrity and performance of subsea infrastructure, working on challenging projects in deepwater environments. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to engage directly with project teams on-site while enjoying the flexibility of remote work for specific tasks and analysis, contributing to the forefront of offshore energy development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and specify subsea equipment, including trees, manifolds, pipelines, and umbilical systems.
• Develop and execute subsea installation procedures and methodologies.
• Conduct engineering analysis, including stress, fatigue, and flow assurance for subsea systems.
• Oversee the fabrication, testing, and commissioning of subsea hardware.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and contractors to ensure project success.
• Provide technical support during the operational phase of subsea field developments.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related offshore engineering discipline.
• Substantial experience in subsea engineering within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Proficiency in relevant subsea design codes and standards.
• Experience with subsea system analysis and simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of offshore operations and installation challenges.
• Excellent communication and project management skills for coordinating with teams.
