Subsea Pipeline Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proficient Subsea Pipeline Engineer to join their esteemed team in Bristol, South West England . This role is critical for the design, installation, and integrity management of subsea pipelines, which are vital conduits for hydrocarbon transportation in offshore operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity, safety, and reliability of these complex systems throughout their lifecycle. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will leverage your technical expertise to overcome challenges and contribute to the successful delivery of offshore projects in the demanding Oil & Gas sector . Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze subsea pipeline routes, considering factors such as seabed conditions, currents, and thermal expansion.
• Specify materials, coatings, and installation methods for subsea pipelines.
• Perform stress analysis and structural integrity assessments for pipelines under various operating conditions.
• Develop and implement inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) strategies for subsea pipelines.
• Oversee pipeline pre-commissioning, installation, and tie-in operations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., DNV, API).

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline with a focus on pipelines.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in subsea pipeline engineering within the Oil & Gas industry .
• Proficiency in pipeline design software (e.g., Orcaflex, Flexcom) and FEA tools.
• Strong understanding of pipeline hydrodynamics, soil-pipe interaction, and corrosion mechanisms.
• Experience with project execution, fabrication, and offshore installation.
• Excellent analytical, technical writing, and communication skills.
