Subsea Pipeline Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Subsea Pipeline Engineer to join their remote engineering team. This role is vital for the design, integrity management, and operational support of subsea pipeline systems used in the oil and gas industry . You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable transport of hydrocarbons through these critical assets. Working remotely, you will utilize advanced analysis tools and collaborate closely with offshore operations and construction teams to address technical challenges and optimize pipeline performance. This position demands a strong understanding of pipeline engineering principles, materials, and relevant industry codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze subsea pipelines, including route selection, material specification, and structural integrity assessments.
• Develop and implement pipeline integrity management plans, including inspection, monitoring, and maintenance strategies.
• Perform calculations for pipeline stress analysis, fluid dynamics, and thermal expansion.
• Provide technical support for subsea pipeline installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
• Investigate and resolve pipeline-related operational issues, such as corrosion, fatigue, and flow assurance problems.
• Ensure compliance with international codes, standards, and regulations governing subsea pipelines.
• Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and third-party inspectors throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in subsea pipeline engineering within the oil and gas industry .
• Proficiency in pipeline design software (e.g., OrcaFlex, PIPESIM) and FEA tools.
• Strong knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., DNV, API).
• Experience with pipeline materials, welding, corrosion control, and integrity assessment techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
