About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Subsurface Asset Manager to lead their asset management initiatives from their offices in Bristol, South West England, UK . This senior role involves overseeing the technical and commercial aspects of subsurface assets, ensuring their optimal performance and value realization throughout their lifecycle. You will guide multidisciplinary teams of geoscientists, reservoir engineers, and commercial analysts, making strategic decisions that maximize recovery, manage risks, and ensure compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans for subsurface asset development and optimization.
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams of subsurface professionals.
- Oversee reservoir management, production planning, and field development activities.
- Manage subsurface project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Conduct economic evaluations, risk assessments, and portfolio optimization.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.
- Interface with partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, or a related geoscience/engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, with a strong focus on asset management.
- Proven track record in managing subsurface assets, including development and production phases.
- Strong understanding of reservoir engineering, geology, geophysics, and production operations.
- Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in economic modeling and project evaluation tools.
