About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and skilled Subsurface Data Manager to oversee the integrity and accessibility of crucial geological, geophysical, and engineering data in Bristol . This role is essential for supporting exploration and production activities within the Oil & Gas sector by ensuring data quality, implementing robust data management systems, and facilitating data sharing across multidisciplinary teams. You will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining best practices for subsurface data handling, archiving, and governance. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive subsurface data management strategies and policies.
• Ensure the quality, accuracy, and completeness of geological, geophysical, and engineering datasets.
• Manage and maintain subsurface databases, including seismic, well, and reservoir data.
• Oversee data migration, integration, and standardization processes.
• Implement data security measures and access controls to protect sensitive information.
• Provide training and support to end-users on data management tools and procedures.

Requirements

• Degree in Geoscience, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in subsurface data management , preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven expertise with industry-standard subsurface databases and data management software.
• Strong understanding of geological, geophysical, and reservoir engineering data types.
• Experience with data governance, quality control, and data lifecycle management.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with strong communication abilities.
