About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Subsurface Engineer to join their technical team in Sheffield . This role is integral to maximizing hydrocarbon recovery and value from existing and new assets through expert subsurface analysis and strategic planning. You will work with geological, geophysical, and reservoir data to develop comprehensive subsurface models and optimize production strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reservoir engineering, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to integrate complex datasets to make informed decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage integrated subsurface models incorporating geological, geophysical, and engineering data.
- Perform reservoir performance analysis and identify opportunities for production optimization and enhanced recovery.
- Conduct economic evaluations for field development projects and recompletion opportunities.
- Collaborate with geoscience and drilling teams to ensure effective well planning and execution.
- Monitor field performance, diagnose production issues, and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in subsurface engineering, including reservoir engineering and/or geosciences.
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation, production data analysis, and well performance evaluation.
- Experience with relevant subsurface software and data management tools.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
