Job Description
Site Supervisor
Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join their team on a major water treatment infrastructure project.
Responsibilities
*
Supervise day-to-day site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.
*
Oversee civil engineering, groundworks, drainage, concrete, and associated construction activities within a water treatment environment.
*
Lead site operatives, plant operators, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain safe and productive working practices.
*
Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, RAMS, permits, and project requirements.
*
Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and site access to maintain productivity and meet project milestones.
*
Monitor quality, progress, and compliance with project standards.
*
Work closely with the Site Manager, Engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure successful project delivery.
*
Promote a strong health, safety, environmental, and quality culture, particularly on live or operational water treatment sites.
*
Complete daily site records, inspections, briefings, and toolbox talks.
Requirements
*
Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Civil Engineering Supervisor, or similar.
*
Strong experience delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects, ideally within the water treatment, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
*
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and RAMS.
*
Experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
*
Good understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
*
Gold CSCS card required.
*
SMSTS or SSSTS required.
*
First Aid at Work qualification required.
*
Previous experience working on water treatment plants, wastewater treatment works, or utility projects is highly desirable.
*
EUSR Water Hygiene and other relevant water industry qualifications would be advantageous.
